Featured here is an old Japanese Hand painted Nippon Humidor or Cannister with brass lid. The piece shows some minor guilding wear, but is free from chips or cracks. Complete with brass lid, the piece measures 6" in height, 4 3/4" across, and 4 3/4" in depth. Please note: It is possible that the brass lid is a marriage but we can't verify this either way. The brass lid does fit snuggly, allows room for the nippon beading to rim the neck and has an Asian blossoming lotus pattern, complimenting the flower pattern of the porcelain.
