H 20" To Top of Finial by 11" at it's Largest Diameter This lovely Korean piece is the striking result of an evolving form. What had started out as a Korean storage jar, now with stand and "pagoda" style cover, is a beautiful work of art. This unusual piece has a pattern of flying cranes and clouds surround floral medallions. The use of hand etching, darker slip clay and dark rose highlights give depth and interest. The Pattern is carried throughout the piece including stand and cover. Bands of stylized leaves from the base and ring the neck, giving a finishing touch to the pattern. This pieces combines ingenuity of style with various Korean techniques to give a true cultural statement
